When reflecting on the nearly 40 years of hip-hop, it never occurs to me that Sir Too Short really has that many years under his belt. As one of the first rappers on my plate once moving down to the Dirty, Dirty in 1984, he will always be in my high esteem. There came a phase for me when his lyrics were questionable (pertaining to young ladies), but for some reason the guilt would always side in his favor and eye would be singing the raunchy, mysogynistic pimp phrases at the top of my lungs.
